Weekend Schedule || Classes || Competitions || Evening Events Partner Lindy Hop Contest-World & ALHC Championships qualifier $10 per couple Couples will dance an all skate and in heats for the prelims. There will be all tempos of music played and the couples will be judged on their ability to shine with any tempo. Finals will feature spotlights as well jam format. The top three placements will also qualify for the World and American Lindy Hop Championships. You do not need to attend ALHC or World's to be in this competition. Social Al & Sugar $5 per person This "jack n' jill" contest is open to anyone who does not qualify for the Champions jack n' jill. You will rotate partners several times during this contest and you will be judged individually in both the prelims and the finals. All tempos will be played. Champions Al & Sugar $5 per person This jack n' jill division is for Champions only…you MUST have placed top three in a major competition and/or be known as a national level instructor/dancer. We are going to be extremely tough on our allowance for this division. You must email Tonya at swing@jitterbugclub.com if you want to be in this division. The Apprentice-Pro/Am $10 per couple This is a great way for a Professional to dance with an Amateur. Only the Amateur will be judged in this contest. There will be an all skate and spotlights in heats depending on how many people enter the contest. In order to qualify as a Pro, you must have placed in the top 3 at a major competition and/or you are a national instructor. There are always some exceptions, so if you aren’t sure, please email us at swing@jitterbugclub.com. Celebrate Yourself-Solo Jazz and Charleston Contest $5 per person This contest tests your dancing abilities as an individual. There will be an all skate and then jam format.
